After being picked up in the early morning from your central Luxor hotel or cruise ship, travel by air-conditioned vehicle to the launch place on the Nile River’s west bank. Enjoy a light pre-flight snack and refreshments upon arrival, and then meet your expert pilot and ground crew.

After that, listen to a thorough safety briefing before stepping inside the balloon’s robust basket with your pilot and many other passengers. Then, as the brightly coloured balloon climbs into the still-dark sky for your 30- to 45-minute trip, experience your adrenaline rush. Take in the breathtaking aerial views as the sun sets over the Nile River’s east bank.

Watch as the light lights the surrounding mountains and Luxor’s buildings, and make sure to photograph the spectacular images. Look east to see the pillars of Karnak Temple greet the morning sun, then west to see Queen Hatshepsut’s Temple bathed in dawn light. View the Colossi of Memnon rising from the nearby fields and the Valley of the Queens, nestled in the craggy mountains, in the distance.

Then, if the wind is favourable, float over the impressive tomb of Pharaoh Ramses II, the Ramesseum, and take in its pylons, statues, and courtyards.
